Steele Chambers wins the United Bowl in Louisville's first season
Steele Chambers finished the 2026 UFL season as a champion. The Louisville Kings opened their inaugural year 0-3 and recovered to win the United Bowl, beating the defending champion DC Defenders 27-20 on June 13.
Chambers joined Louisville through the UFL draft in January, after a season with the Memphis Showboats. He began at Ohio State as a running back before moving to linebacker, and finished his college career with 190 tackles, 11.5 for loss, and three interceptions. Detroit signed him as an undrafted free agent in April 2024. New England claimed him that June and released him in August.
His interception in the semifinal at St. Louis ended the Battlehawks' drive in the end zone and sent Louisville to the championship game.
